A consortium led by supporters of Metaplanet seeks the acquisition of Thailand's securities exchange DV8.

According to Decrypt, a Bitcoin financial strategy consortium led by Metaplanet supporters announced plans to acquire at least 75% of the registered capital of the publicly listed company DV8 in Thailand through a voluntary tender offer, promoting the implementation of the Bitcoin financial strategy model among publicly listed companies in Southeast Asia. The consortium members include UTXO, Sora Ventures, Kliff Capital, Moon Inc. (Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 1723), and AsiaStrategy (Nasdaq: SORA), with Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich also participating in the investment personally. DV8 primarily engages in retail and consumer electronics distribution. Sora Ventures stated that the acquisition aims to position the Thai market as the next "Metaplanet."
