The capabilities of artificial intelligence are developing rapidly, but the core resources are still in the hands of a few large companies. Most of the AI we use in our daily lives is actually like a black box: the model cannot be verified, the data belongs to the platform, and the Computing Power is controlled by the giants.

I have been thinking, what would it be like if AI could also be decentralized like blockchain?
The answer may be 0G @0G_labs

■Why is decentralized AI difficult to implement
- Huge data: AI models and training sets easily reach TB levels. Using traditional blockchain for storage and retrieval is costly and slow.

-Insufficient Computing Power: The computing power required for AI reasoning and training is much greater than what most public chain nodes can provide.

-Latency issues: Real-time AI applications require high throughput and low latency, but most chains cannot achieve this performance.

If these obstacles cannot be resolved, 【链上AI】 will only remain a slogan.

The goal of 0G is: to enable AI to operate on-chain at a lower cost and with higher efficiency.

It is a decentralized AI L1 chain that adopts a modular architecture, breaking complex problems into four independent and combinable parts:

-0G Chain: This is a high-speed EVM L1, suitable for scenarios like AI agents and AI-driven DeFi.

-0G Storage: Used to store models, datasets, and assets, 10-100 times cheaper than traditional solutions.

-0G Computing Power: Can provide on-demand inference, training, and verifiable computation.

-0G Data Availability (DA): Ensures that data is always accessible, supporting high-frequency applications.

■There is an interesting point here:

You don't have to accept the entire 0G all at once; you can use only a part of it. For example, if you are already on Ethereum, you can directly call the storage of 0G.

If it can also access Computing Power through the SDK on Solana, the flexibility is very high.

In fact, 0G aims to liberate data and computing from the "high costs, low efficiency, and technological barriers" of gravitational constraints.

Just like astronauts can move freely in a zero-gravity environment, the computing and data flow of AI can also flow freely in 0G.

In the past few years, "AI Decentralization" has been heard many times, but most projects have remained at the slogan stage and have not addressed the underlying infrastructure issues.

What makes 0G special is that it really separates the components of 【storage—compute—chain—DA】, making them combinable and practical.

Of course, there are many challenges ahead, such as whether the ecosystem can grow quickly, whether node operators are willing to contribute resources, and so on. But at least in terms of direction, it is filling the most lacking link in Web3.

So, I think 0G is worth paying continuous attention to because it is building the foundation for decentralized AI.
